Oley Valley Organics, located in Oley, Berks County, is a small family run farm specializing in organically grown asparagus, strawberries, and raspberries as well as handmade holiday wreaths.
I haven’t visited yet, but I plan to stop by when I get up that way again. I wish I’d known about them earlier in the season; I’d love to have had their asparagus and strawberries, but our family eats raspberries like candy so I’ll definitely be making a visit in September when they have their second raspberry harvest.
Here is what they say on their site:
Oley Valley Organics is located in the beautiful Oley Valley in the heart of the historic Pennsylvania-German region of Pennsylvania. The organic farm was established in 2006 by Barb and Mike Dietrich, a retired military couple, and their three children, Casey, Matt, and Nate.
Oley Valley Organics (OVO) specializes in hand-made holiday, Christmas and seasonal wreaths and organically-grown asparagus, strawberries and raspberries. OVO has a roadside stand at the farm open from April through October. OVO is in the final year of the three-year organic certification process. All produce is grown using organically-approved methods.
